Noted hacker Barnaby Jack will return to his former employer, IOActive, after spending about a year on McAfee's so-called elite research team, known as TRACE (Threat Research and Counterintelligence Experts). Jack, who previously served as director of security testing at the security services firm, will return Monday as director of embedded device security, IOActive CEO Jennifer Steffens told SCMagazine.com Wednesday in an email. Jack's research has included vulnerability discoveries in cash machines, SCADA systems and automobiles. Jack tweeted Tuesday that he was excited to rejoin the "sick" research team at IOActive.
