Amit Yoran promoted to RSA president

RSA, the security division of EMC, announced today that Amit Yoran has been named president.

His new role will make Yoran responsible for creating and delivering a unified customer experience across products, marketing, sales and services, according to a press release. Yoran was previously the senior vice president of products. In that position, he helped devise RSA's Intelligence Driven Security strategy and keep RSA's product portfolio up-to-date against the newest security challenges.

Art Coviello remains RSA's executive chairman, and he and Yoran will coordinate on RSA's strategic direction.

“We are excited to have Amit in this role,” Coviello said in the release. “His passion, deep industry expertise, and experience running agile organizations will help enable RSA to enhance the development, delivery and customer experience of the Intelligence Driven Security platforms and services enterprises need to effectively defend themselves in an increasingly complex threat landscape.”
