As reported by Bleeping Computer, Booking.com has confirmed a cybersecurity incident where unauthorized third parties accessed sensitive user data associated with reservations. The travel giant took immediate action to mitigate the breach.

The breach involved unauthorized access to booking information, potentially exposing full names, email addresses, postal addresses, phone numbers, and communications between users and property providers. Booking.com responded by forcing PIN resets for affected reservations and directly notifying impacted customers via email.

While the exact number of affected users remains undisclosed, the company stated that all individuals will be notified. The incident has raised concerns, as some users have reported receiving scam attempts that appear to leverage private reservation details, though a direct link to this breach is unconfirmed.
