During its recent Cisco LIVE event, Cisco rolled out a number of new offerings and enhancements designed to help enterprises create a unified cloud security umbrella, creating a platform strategy the company calls the Cisco Security Cloud, TechRepublic reports.
One of these new announcements is a security service edge product called Cisco Secure Access, which, among other functions, allows organizations to access all of their applications via a single platform; grants administrators and analysts a unified interface for managing network traffic, assessing security risks, and establishing policy settings; and provides the capability to perform threat intelligence analysis powered by Cisco Talos AI, the company said.
Cisco also announced a new series of firewall devices called Secure Firewall 4200 that features zero-trust network access, AI-powered encrypted threat blocking, and security protocols geared toward hybrid work. The company also unveiled Cisco Multicloud Defense designed for the software-as-a-service multi-cloud environment, which allows organizations to set a single security policy across various cloud environments.
