The Barracuda SecureEdge, a service-based offering by Barracuda Networks that includes firewall, zero-trust network access, secure web gateway, and SD-WAN, has launched, according to SDxCentral.
The latest addition to Barracudas product lineup can accommodate either enterprises or managed service providers and integrates all the best features from the company's previous SASE offering, CloudGen WAN, says Stefan Schachinger, product manager for network security at Barracuda.
Unlike CloudGEN WAN, SecureEdge offers Microsoft Azure integration only as one of many options for deployment, alongside private deployment and a SaaS solution hosted by Barracuda.
Meanwhile, SecureEdge delivers consistent security through improvements it brings to the ZTNA, SWG and secure internet access functionality, and allows users to securely connect their Internet of Things environments thanks to integration with Barracudas Secure Connector.
One of the key requirements was to have a unified and cloud hosted single management interface, Schachinger added. The SecureEdge Manager cloud portal is that single point of control that is used for deployment, configuration and maintenance by our customers and it also supports multi-tenancy for our MSP partners.
