Amazon Web Services and cybersecurity firms Presidio and Crowdstrike have collaborated on developing a new Ransomware Mitigation Kit designed to help companies prevent ransomware attacks and other cybersecurity incidents and mitigate the impact if they do occur, according to ZDNet.
The kit uses technology from AWS’ CloudEndure software provider and CrowdStrike to encompass the NIST Cybersecurity Framework’s five pillars of cybersecurity and provide users with enhanced asset visibility and protection from breaches, a strengthened cloud security foundation, attack detection and prevention capabilities, tools for attack response and mitigation and features enabling recovery of compromised or lost data.
Recognizing that protection “requires a layered approach and a team that is on top of emerging threats and capable of maximizing the benefits of industry-leading security technology,” according to AWS Vice President Sandy Carter, the kit aims to give users “end-to-end white-glove service to identify and protect against cyber threats, detect, and respond to risks as they occur and recover all critical data and applications prior to the breach,” according to the companies.
