Google threatened with $100M lawsuit over hacked celeb images

A lawyer representing more than a dozen of the women affected by the recent iCloud celebrity hacking scandal has threatened Google with a $100,000,000 lawsuit for allegedly failing to remove the images from its service.

A letter “exclusively seen” by the New York Post's Page Six and written by Hollywood lawyer Marty Singer to Google execs Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Eric Schmidt, Singer accuses the company of “blatantly unethical behavior” that has led to “making millions from the victimization of women.”

Singer goes on to claim that Google failed “to act expeditiously, and responsibly to remove the images.”

The letter, which was sent by Singer on behalf of his unnamed clients, additionally claims that they previously attempted to contact the company with a notice to remove the images, but they're still available on sites such as BlogSpot and YouTube.
