IBM has announced the release of an enhanced version of its Cloud Pak for Security bundle with added zero-trust security capabilities as well as Secure Access Service Edge functionality, Network World reports.
Cloud Pak for Security currently includes OpenShift Container Platform and Red Hat Linux plus various connecting technologies allowing enterprises to use it with a host of public or private cloud infrastructure such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, IBM Cloud, Google Cloud Platform and Alibaba.
The new Software-as-a-Service version of the product features several security blueprints allowing for the creation of a zero-trust-based security protocol. These include an insider threat blueprint providing proactive security enforcement steps for companies faced with a potential insider attack and mobile threat detection for applications on Android, Windows, iOS and Mac, using IBM’s Security MaaS360 with Watson solution. IBM also enhanced the product with SASE security service solutions Zscaler Private Access and Zscaler Internet Access, provided through a partnership with Zscaler.
“Using a zero-trust approach makes it possible to support a workforce that can securely connect and work from anywhere, from any device, accessing data on any infrastructure,” said IBM General Manager of Security Mary O'Brien.
