More than 600 cloud services are still vulnerable to FREAK – the SSL/TLS vulnerability widely disclosed roughly one week ago – as of Thursday, according to Skyhigh Networks data sent to SCMagazine.com.
Scanning its registry of more than 10,000 services, Skyhigh Networks determined that 685 cloud services – across various categories such as infrastructure, storage, and backup and archiving – are still vulnerable.
The cloud security company also determined that 81 percent of companies are still using at least one vulnerable cloud service, and that companies are using an average of 38 vulnerable services.
On March 5, roughly 24 hours after FREAK was widely disclosed, Skyhigh Networks determined that 766 cloud services were at risk, with 99 percent of companies using at least one vulnerable service, and an average of 122 vulnerable services being used by companies.
