Brand and e-mail security solutions vendor Red Sift announced its acquisition of attack surface management solution Hardenize, VentureBeat reports.
Red Sift, whose Red Sift Platform already provides e-mail security capabilities including e-mail impersonation attack blocking, inbound and outbound e-mail protection and lookalike domain takedowns, will be able to expand its protection with Hardenize's technology and help organizations protect their e-mail environment as well as gain a deeper understanding of their critical attack surface.
According to research, large enterprises top investment priority in 2022 is external attack surface management.
This move gives us the capability to do more for cybersecurity than we ever have before, elevating the breed of solution available to enterprise businesses for full attack surface management and resilience, according to Red Sift founder and CEO Rahul Powar.
Powar adds that the purchase is part of the company's efforts to integrate e-mail into the external attack surface within its scope: We believe the market has missed an opportunity to include one of the greatest attack vectors there is -- email -- into its traditional definition of ASM.
