Scammers trick gamers on wait for Grand Theft Auto V for PC

Fans of Grand Theft Auto V should be wary of a torrent file that looks too good to be true.

WCCFTech.com, an online haven for techies, warned users on Sunday about a purported leak of GTA V for PC users making the rounds online.

Site readers reported that the torrent – which apparently had a high SEO ranking and appeared to be verified – actually installed a malicious file on victims' computers. In addition, PC users hoping to try their hand at the game were eventually directed to a page that asked them to complete surveys.

The official release of GTA V for PC users is reportedly expected to ship in early 2014.
