Security startup Tailscale raises $100M funding

SiliconANGLE reports that Tailscale, a startup that provides virtual private network-based security for enterprises, has raised $100 million in a Series B funding round, which the company said it plans to use to expand its market and partner initiatives. Tailscale said it seeks to provide enterprise security teams with a tool that requires zero configuration, speedy setup, no single point of failure and end-to-end encryption, to combine connectivity, security and ease-of-use. The company's solution offers a secure virtual private network that can be quickly installed on all kinds of devices and is able to manage a network's firewall rules. The service provides zero-trust capabilities for Identity and Access Management, Secure Access Service Edge and Privileged Access Management. It can also integrate with popular cloud-native tools including Syncthing, Caddy Server and VScode, and can be integrated with remote application development solutions such as Coder, GitPod, Materialize, Indent and GitHub Codespaces. It can also provide seamless authentication through integration with existing identity services such as Okta, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
