Silent Push, a threat intelligence startup with former FireEye Vice President Ken Bagnall and FireEye Research Labs Director John Jensen as co-founders, has emerged with $10 million in seed funding, SiliconAngle reports.
Over 500 organizations have already been leveraging the free edition of its threat intelligence tool, while some major organizations have implemented its paid Enterprise edition, according to Silent Push.
Novel attacker infrastructure and operations are being identified by Silent Push through an extensive analysis of internet-exposed infrastructure around the world, said the company, which touted its efforts to enable clients to have a deeper knowledge of threat actors' tactics, techniques, and procedures, compared with traditional indicators of compromise.
"Our unique ability lies in knowing the attacker's TTPs what they are doing to prepare for an attack or campaign. A good example of this is where we recently observed attackers using legitimate websites to redirect to threat actor-controlled intermediate cushion servers, which leads to phishing URLs with fake Microsoft logins," said Silent Push CEO Bagnall.
