Sola Security launches Lumina to reduce security alert noise

Cybersecurity threat concept with hands typing on laptop and warning symbols floating in digital space.

Sola Security has launched Lumina, an autonomous risk intelligence platform designed to address the overwhelming volume of security alerts faced by enterprises. The platform utilizes contextual artificial intelligence across various environments to provide prioritized security signals rather than raw alerts, according to Silicon Angle.

Lumina aims to solve the persistent problem of too many cybersecurity tools generating excessive noise, with the average enterprise using 83 tools. The platform integrates across the security stack, transforming raw data into a curated feed of decision-ready signals. Each signal is enriched with reasoning, asset context, potential impact, and recommended actions, allowing security operations teams to focus on contextualized findings ranked against their specific environment. Lumina employs bi-directional severity scoring, elevating critical findings and suppressing less important ones based on factors like asset criticality and data sensitivity. It also includes blast radius mapping to identify exposures with the highest potential damage and pattern clustering to consolidate large volumes of findings into meaningful signals.

Early adopters have reported significant reductions in operational noise and faster time-to-context, freeing up analyst capacity for strategic tasks. Lumina compresses 99.98% of raw data into actionable signals.
