The American rock band Linkin Park's Facebook page was hacked earlier today and used to spam the band's 62 million fans.
The unauthorized party used the account to distribute links to websites that are unaffiliated with the group, according to Hack Read. One link led to a website detailing rapper Jay-Z's upcoming album and others directed the band's fans to various lists and vulgar images.
Users noted the spam, which caused the page to lose almost 100,000 followers.
The spam links were all removed as of this afternoon, and the band appears to have regained control. The musical group didn't comment on the apparent hack.
