Two individuals were suspended from the presidential campaign staff of Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders pending an investigation into inappropriate access last week to Hilary Clinton's campaign's proprietary voter database.
The two unnamed staffers join Sanders' national data director Josh Uretsky, who was fired earlier over the incident, according to USAToday.
Clinton spokeswoman Jennifer Palmieri called the breach "a very serious matter," accusing the Sanders' team of taking data and trying to save it. Sanders admitted during Saturday night's Democratic candidates' debate that his staff's actions were "inappropriate," and apologized.
What is being called a software glitch at the technology company NGP VAN, which provides campaigns with voter data, allowed Sanders' staffers access for 40 minutes to the data of different Democratic campaigns.
The Sanders' camp was denied access by the DNC to its own user database for a time once the breach was detected, but regained access following a deal late Friday.
