Data protection provider Veeam said its Kasten K10 Kubernetes-based backup and recovery platform has entered its version 5.0 release with an expanded range of cybersecurity features, SiliconANGLE reports.
The new version adds a ransomware detection mechanism that can identify when threat actors are attempting to encrypt a user's data. It also introduces a new console that eases administrators' user-access management tasks, through features such as the capability to create custom rules for specific users' access to a Kubernetes environment.Kasten K10 version 5.0 now also provides integration with KMS by Amazon Web Services and Vault by HashiCorp, two of the most popular cryptographic key management services available, for organizations that have enhanced their data security with cryptographic keys that they manage in-house."
This latest release provides secure backup and recovery for Kubernetes data and applications while eliminating the complexity in deployment and operations for Kubernetes in the enterprise," according to Veeam Chief Technology Officer Danny Allan.
