Battlefield 4 PC servers experience DDoS attack

The Battlefield 4 PC servers experienced a distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack on Saturday that left a number of virtual soldiers unable to compete in the Electronic Arts (EA) published first-person shooter. Employees with developer EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE) took to the official forums to address the issue.

"We are being targeted by a DDOS, but working on fixing it asap. I'm sorry somebody is ruining your and my day. Rest assured we are doing our best to mitigate the situation though," Ali Hassoon, a DICE employee, posted under online username Striterax.

It appears that the issue has mostly been resolved as of Monday. EA joins a list of video game companies including Ubisoft, Nintendo, Konami and Riot Games that have been attacked in recent months.
