Keyfactor, Fortanix integrate technologies to bolster identity management

Fortanix and Keyfactor, an identity platform provider, announced an integration of their technologies to produce a machine identity management solution that is more secure and simpler to use for enterprise and managed service providers, SiliconANGLE reports. By combining the key protection capabilities of Fortanix Data Security Manager and certificate lifecycle automation through Keyfactor's Command service, customers can effectively handle machine identities on either hybrid or multicloud infrastructure without increasing complexity as they ensure the security of private keys, the companies said.The joint solution offers a range of benefits and features such as enhanced visibility and control by providing a single screen in which IT and security teams can handle various tasks. Teams also benefit from streamlined certificate renewal and provisioning across all workloads and devices in multicloud and hybrid environments, thanks to its automated certificate renewal capability. Thanks to the integration, developers may also easily integrate security into applications using native RESTful application plugins and interfaces.
