Revenge porn hacker pleads guilty to felony charges

A California man, who was paid by revenge porn site operator Hunter Moore to hack into victims' Gmail accounts to obtain images, pleaded guilty to two felony charges Wednesday.

Charles Evens, 26, entered guilty pleas for one count of unauthorized access to a protected computer to obtain information for purposes of private financial gain and one count of aggravated identity theft – which could land him in federal prison for up to seven years, an FBI release said.

In February, Moore, the operator of IsAnyoneUp[.]com, pleaded guilty to the same two charges.

While Moore posted images that were submitted to the site, Evens helped him obtain more photos via hacking and was paid for the exchange, the FBI said.

Evens, arrested in January 2014 with Moore, is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 16. Moore's sentencing date is Aug. 12.
