AMD, Intel, designing chips to beat buffer overflow issues

AMD and Intel have announced plans to design anti-buffer overflowsystems in to their next generation of PC chipsets, to counter thecontinual security problems with the Windows operating systems.

AMD says it will include the technology in its Athlon-64 range of
processors, whilst Intel will offer the facility on its next
generation of Pentium chipsets.
