According to reports from the Terrorism Research and Analysis Consortium, Twitter accounts have claimed to be affiliated with ISIS and started the #AmericaUnderHacks hashtag, on the 14th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.
The ISIS hashtag had more than 1,000 tweets by midnight on 11 September. Accounts seeming to be sympathetic to ISIS claimed a successful White House computer hack and access to President Barack Obama's cell phone.
A tweet from an account believed affiliated with the “Islamic Cyber Army” showed an image of a spreadsheet containing the names, addresses and phone numbers of White House administration along with the following statement translated from Arabic, “Breakthrough the White House we adopt a responsible pull data from them and publish each.”
According to Heavy, the #AmericaUnderHacks hashtag was started by the “Islamic Cyber Army” account and “Caliphate Hackers”.
Ghost Security, A US counter-terror group, claimed responsibility for taking down the “Islamic Cyber Army” Twitter account, preventing the success of the 9/11 cyber terror plot.
