Shawn Henry made CrowdStrike more than just a security company – it’s become a household name thanks in part to his leadership, with the well known 2016 Democratic National Committee investigation serving as just one example of his influence.

Shawn Henry serves as chief security officer of CrowdStrike and president of CrowdStrike Services, leading a top-notch team of incident responders and other cybersecurity professionals in investigating and mitigating targeted attacks on corporate and government networks.

Today, CrowdStrike’s customers include the Fortune 1000 and also extend to a variety of industries and organization sizes as the company has gone downstream with its modular product offerings. While customers span all sectors of the private and public sector markets, CrowdStrike has focused its strategy on high-yielding verticals such as government, healthcare, insurance, financial services, and energy. Henry and his team have helped organizations and agencies with incident response in practically every industry vertical.

Henry had a 24-year career in the federal government, retiring as FBI executive assistant director in 2012. In that position, he oversaw half of the FBI’s investigative operations, including all FBI criminal and cyber investigations worldwide, international operations, victim services, and the FBI’s critical incident response to major investigations and disasters. Henry has also been credited with boosting the FBI’s computer crime and cybersecurity investigative capabilities. He oversaw computer crime investigations spanning the globe, including denial-of-service attacks, bank and corporate breaches, and state-sponsored intrusions.

“Shawn is recognized globally as a foremost thought leader on election security, nation-state threats, incident response, and cyber business resilience,” the company said in its entry. “Under his leadership, CrowdStrike Services has grown exponentially. Today, CrowdStrike engages in proactive incident response operations across every major commercial sector, as well as international critical infrastructure, protecting sensitive data and networks for organizations and governments around the world.”
