While advanced, this product is not a quick install. There are several factors and prerequisites that need to be addressed. The initial setup consists of several parts, including setting up a SQL server database if there is not one available already. After the database is set and a TEAMS user is created, a script must be run to build the data tables. Now the server can be set up. After the server is set up and configured using a configuration utility, the client must be installed along with devices on the client machines. The system is ready to go and all administration is done using a web-based interface. We found this interface to be intuitive to navigate and easy to use.
This product provides solid and powerful integration with web applications to keep sensitive data safe and out of the wrong hands. However, this product is not designed to manage Windows logon and will not modify the Windows graphical identification and authentication.
Documentation was offered in the form of training videos inserted into various HTML-based help files.
Triad offers 30 days of premium support at no cost during setup and configuration. After 30 days, customers can purchase standard support at 15 percent of the purchase price, and premium support at 25 percent.
At a price of $12,000 per application per year, plus $100 per standard user per year, this product is not the most inexpensive on the block. However, we find that it offers a lot of power for the punch with some very specialized technology to prevent compromise of sensitive data using biometrics. We find this product to be a good value for the money.
