A searchable database called Doxagram that allegedly houses information on more than six million Instagram users was back online Monday after being down late Friday
Hackers, who exposed photos of Selena Gomez and other celebrities after exploiting a bug that Instagram has since said it fixed, told the Daily Beast that they initially aimed their scraper at accounts with one million or more followers but them expanded their efforts to include others with fewer followers.
They're charging $10 per search. Instagram claimed last week that the bug had been fixed and only a small percentage of the social media site's users had been affected. Company co-founder and CTO Mike Krieger cautioned customers to use an "abundance of caution" and "be vigilant" about account security, reporting any suspicious activity to Instagram.
