Aviva's Paul Wood is right when he says in your cover story that information security people focus too much on technology (SC, July, p27).
Surely part of the problem is the pool from which information securityprofessionals are drawn, namely the IT crowd? Being tech-savvy is justpart of the equation. What our profession needs just as much is peopleexperts and even an element of anthroplogy to counter the misuses oftechnology that threatens our livelihood. Too often, IT people seesolutions in the flickering lights of the rack mounted equipment theysurround themselves with.
