Anti-virus firm Trend Micro is warning users to be suspicious of Valentine’s greeting emails on Saturday, February 14.
Hackers and virus writers will attempt to lure users into opening email attachments or files transferred via instant messaging, peer-to-peer and chat channels with the header "I Love You" or similar messages, a spokesman for the company said.
The I Love You virus outbreak in 2000 demonstrated the consequences of socially engineered email-virus attacks, causing millions of dollars worth of damage worldwide.
