RedHat and Accenture on Monday announced that they are investing in the co-development of new products aimed at helping organizations more effectively navigate a multi- and hybrid-cloud environment, define their strategies, and accelerate the pace of innovation.
The two companies said that companies can manage public and private clouds, as well as edge computing, across the network with a zero-trust mindset using Accenture’s Cloud First and RedHat's OpenShift. A hybrid solution offers the public cloud’s benefits of innovation, speed, consumption and scale with the private cloud’s advantages of added regulatory compliance and performance.
Over the past two years, digital transformation, led by a shift to the cloud, has accelerated tremendously because of the pressures of remote working and digital-first consumer experiences, said Kevin Dunne, president at Pathlock.
Dunne said as companies shift to the cloud, they have begun to realize that there’s no one-size-fits-all strategy, and that various pieces of the enterprise landscape require different options when it comes to hosting. Additionally, Dunne said mapping out this landscape of disparate hosting solutions and strategies is complex and requires coordination and effort.
