The v-GO Access Accelerator Suite is a full-scale, totally customizable password provisioning and management product. The suite is comprised of several modules that can integrate to provide solid account management. The v-GO client intelligently detects an application's request for credentials and appropriately responds for either a logon or password change for web, Windows, mainframe, Java and SAP applications. All credentials, including privileged administrative credentials, are securely stored in a centralized directory or database and can be populated through the leading identity management solutions, which eliminates the need for end-users to ever know their application passwords.
Due to its modular approach, installation of this tool requires each element to be installed on its own and integrated into the system. We found installation to be fairly straightforward and each application had its own installation wizard. After installation, management is done via an administrative GUI. The various administration consoles are all quite easy to use and intuitive to navigate.
From the client side, this tool is quite plug-and-play and almost seamlessly integrates into normal activities. The v-GO client will automatically fill in the appropriate credentials for a user, and users can also checkout administrative account credentials, if authorized, without ever knowing the password to the accounts.
This product includes installation, configuration and administrator guides for each module in the suite. All these guides are well-organized and easy to follow with many step-by-step instructions, screen shots and configuration examples.
