A 27-year-old California man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly owning and operating ugotposted.com, a “revenge porn” site that made him money through extortion.

Kevin Bollaert, a resident of San Diego, Calif., was charged with 31 counts of identity theft, extortion, and conspiracy. His operation allegedly involved him inviting people to post nude images of others, as well as name, location, age, and a Facebook link.

When individuals exposed in the images contacted Bollaert to remove them, he would direct them to another site he owned, changemyreputation.com, which would ask them to pay a fee (between $300 and $350) to take down the pictures, according to court documents. In addition to the fees, Bollaert is said to have made close to $900 a month in advertising revenue.

He is currently being held on $50,000 bail.
