Christopher Kruegel is VP Security Services at the Network and Security Business Unit (NSBU) at VMware. Before that, Christopher was a co-founder at Lastline, where he served in various positions (CEO, Chief Product Officer, and Chief Scientist) until the acquisition by VMware. In addition, Christopher is a Professor of Computer Science at UC Santa Barbara (currently on leave). Christopher’s research interests are computer and communications security, with an emphasis on malware analysis and detection, web security, and intrusion detection. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed papers in top computer security conferences.
